Chicago Athletic Association
Grande Venues was asked to join the Snider-Cannata Development Group and from Cleveland Ohio and the joint venture, 12 South Michigan Ave , LLC to restore, develop and dramatically expand the Chicago Athletic Association building in downtown Chicago. The designs were visually stunning and involved significant architectural work from VOA of Chicago (Rick Fawell) and engineering input from Klein and Hoffman (Josh Dortzbach). Other competitors bid on the project but it was killed for “political reasons.” After the Olympic bid was removed from the City of Chicago, many developments went by the wayside.
