Arts Assessment
GVI's Arts Assessment is a comprehensive survey and analysis that measures a community's interest level as well as identifies what kind of programming is preferred. This is an essential first step that any entity should take before moving to the development stages of a theatre project. GVI's Arts Assessment is critical in ensuring a successful programming format. It also is necessary to avoid costly re-construction where a Venues structure is changed post restoration/renovation to accommodate the programming needs.
Programming
GVI’s most successful service to clients is programming consulting. “What do we do with our theatre once it is restored or opened…” is the most frequent concern. Does a restored theatre present movies only? Does it present live theatre only? Can a new theatre live on Country Western music alone? What combinations of all performing and fine art afford the theatre of maximum use and maximum income without draining resources, both financial and human. GVI uses a specialized marketing and demographic formula to create its own “Five Year Pro Forma,” that can be used to accurately predict how balance sheets, cash flows and income and expenses develop over an extended period. These “Pro Formas” can be used to approach banks and investors.
Theater Operations
GVI will find and train qualified theatre managers and staff to operate any size theatre. GVI also offers the popular “Board Training for NFP Theatres.” This exclusive training program offers a “long weekend” approach to board training for boards and staff of not-for-profit organizations.
Consulting
GVI will travel anywhere in the world to consult with any entity, municipality or individual regarding the theatre business.
